Screening: The Ring of the Nibelung 1976–2026

The Paris Opera invites you to (re)discover the legendary 1976 production of Der Ring des Nibelungen by Pierre Boulez and Patrice Chéreau, with a full screening of the work at the Studio Bastille on 6 and 7 June (director: Brian Large).
Weekend programme:
Saturday 6 June 2026
10.30am – 1.00pm: Das Rheingold (2½ hours, no interval)
2.30pm – 4.00pm: Discussion about the production (1 hour 30 minutes, no interval)
With Anne François Benhamou, theatre scholar; Richard Peduzzi, French set designer and painter; Laurent Bayle, cultural director; and Marion Mirande, moderator
4.30pm – 8.30pm: Die Walküre (4 hours with no interval)
Sunday 7 June 2026
10.30 am – 2.45 pm: Siegfried (4 hours 15 minutes, including a 25-minute interval)
3.30 pm – 8.30 pm: Twilight of the Gods (5 hours, including two 20-minute intervals)
The price to attend the entire cycle and the discussion is €20.
